Harford County, MD - Spring 2026 Under the Lights Youth Flag Football
Registration is OPEN for the 2026 SPRING Under the Lights youth flag football season. Our SPRING season runs from April through May, with games taking place on Friday nights in Harford County, Maryland.

Under the Lights – Bel Air / Harford County is the largest youth flag football league in the region. The league is for both boys and girls of all skill levels and promotes a competitive, confidence-building, non-contact football experience.

- CO-ED PRE-K – KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FEE: $200
- ALL-GIRLS K–2ND GRADE REGISTRATION FEE: $200
- ALL-GIRLS 3RD–5TH GRADE REGISTRATION FEE: $220
- ALL-GIRLS 6TH–8TH GRADE REGISTRATION FEE: $220
**** NOTE PRE-K – KINDERGARTEN DIVISION ****
This is an instructional and developmental division geared for our Pre-K/K athletes to be prepared for future play in our league. Each week focuses on fundamentals such as catching, throwing, and flag pulling, progressing toward playing games with all athletes in this division. Our primary focus is to prepare these young athletes for competitive play.
Siblings receive a $25 discount (use promo code "SiblingDiscount"). The first child is at full price, with the second and additional children utilizing the promo code discount (not valid for Early Bird pricing). THE LEAGUE WILL VALIDATE ALL SIBLING DISCOUNTS AND WILL PROCESS THE REFUNDS.

REGISTRATION DETAILS
Pre-K and Kindergarten
Includes an Under the Lights jersey. No shorts.
Pre-K and K players will play games together.
This division is different than all others as it is focused on development. There are no playoffs for the Pre-K/K division.
ALL-GIRLS STANDARD K–8TH GRADE
Includes an Under the Lights jersey. NO shorts. Divisions are separated by grade with the anticipated structure being 3rd/5th and 6th/8th.
CO-ED STANDARD FLAG FOOTBALL – 1ST–8TH GRADE
Includes an Under the Lights jersey and shorts. Divisions are separated by grade with the anticipated structure being 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th.
GENERAL LEAGUE FORMAT:
- Player receives an Under Armour game shirt.
- Head coach receives an Under the Lights football.
- 6–7 game season plus playoffs or consolation games.
- 6 v 6 format on 25–30 yd wide x 50 yd long fields.
- No pass rush, just a 5-second sack count, emphasizing the passing game with limited runs.
- 9+ player rosters so everyone plays every game.
- Practices are held 45 minutes before the games.
- No tryouts. No drafts. Rosters are formed by "friend" or "coach" request.
- Single players are placed on teams with similarities such as school, neighborhood, or organization.
- All coaches are volunteer parents and are not provided by Under the Lights.
- Trophies are awarded to the champions of each grade/age division.
- Games are played in the evenings when possible.
- Food and music at the games.
REFUND POLICY:
We at Under the Lights Flag offer the following refunds within these specific timelines. All refund requests must be submitted by email to your League Commissioner.
- FULL or 100% registration fee refund if requested before uniforms are ordered for the league, which occurs 3 weeks prior to kickoff.
- HALF or 50% registration fee refund if requested after uniforms are ordered and prior to the 2nd game of the season.
- NO REFUND for any request submitted and processed after the 2nd week of the season.
- In the event that the Under the Lights Flag season is canceled prior to the 4th game of the season due to an unforeseen event such as a COVID-19 outbreak, a HALF or 50% registration fee refund will be processed. If the season is canceled after the 4th game of the season due to an unforeseen event such as a COVID-19 outbreak, NO REFUND will be processed.
COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS:
- All coaches are volunteers and are not provided by Under the Lights Flag League.
- All coaches and volunteers must provide the Commissioner of your league with a current coaches certification and background check. Each certificate is valid for 1 calendar year. If you need to update or obtain both, please use the following link:
